Mount Aspring National Park

You can take time to connect with nature just about anywhere. Rhapsody for a Rock Wren isn't really about one species or a particular place, though the ones featured are among my personal favourites. I hope viewers might substitute their own analogs depending on their part of the world, their preferences, and abilities.

That said, if you want to visit this place, I don't blame you. The exact film location remains undisclosed, as I don't want it to be 'loved to death', but Mount Aspiring National Park has many tracks through beech-clad river valleys and over high passes with magnificent views – take your pick.

The park falls inside Te Wāhipounamu – South West New Zealand World Heritage Area. For the Māori iwi (tribe) Ngāi Tahu, the mountains and valleys of Te Wāhipounamu are the places of Atua (gods).
